Obama MySpace Debacle

The Obama Drama continues and moves onto MySpace. In a nutshell, some guy worked on a MySpace page dedicated to Barack, but then they asked to take it over, he demanded money, and then they contacted MySpace to take control. Many call foul, but I agree with Obama’s campaign team in their actions. It would be one thing if the supporter had created their own web page independently, but to use a popular social networking site is clearly different to me. Thanks for visiting and commenting FLD. Good point about the risks involved with collaboration - it is even hard to draw the line of outsider versus insider.

In my opinion, the move to set up a MySpace for Obama is going to forever change the face of politics and campaign marketing. I agree with you - the Obama team had the password all along and they actually made edits to the site. But… there’s a significant risk in letting an outsider contribute information considering the rapid spread of information across the internet.
