Last night on the late show with Jay Leno, Fred Thompson announced that he’s running for the President of the United States in the 2008 election, though we’ve been suspecting that he’d join in for months. Even though he only announced that he’s running for the President of the United States in the 2008 election last night, he’s already among the leaders in the polls. Thompson has his acting career to thank for being so well known. His most prominent role as part of the cast for Law & Order introduced him to television watchers the world over. He is also a former senator, so in many ways he’s in a great position to become president. His campaign is based on security, unity, and prosperity. Those are some good values - clear and concise. I for one would love to see a more unified America - it seems we’re become so fractured and disagreeable lately. Maybe its always been that way, but I’m only noticing now! :-)
