2008 Elections

GO AMERICA!

Its so great to see people get amped up about something, and that’s why I’m liking the Barack Obama campaign at the moment. Its so important for citizens to get involved with their government, that it really is helpful when a leader is inspirational.

There is still so much to learn about Obama, and at this point, the fact that so many people are getting excited about his candidacy is a great start.

A lot of success is defined by being the right person, at the right place, at the right time, and it looks like Barack is that person at this moment in time. It will be very interesting to see how John McCain counters the Obama momentum (and who he’s chosen for VP)!

Right now 2.26pm PST 30 September the Heads of Government of Australia, Britain and Europe are meeting to get The US government to pass the Bailout bill in it’s current form or with amendment by the end of this week at the latest. World markets are plummeting and billions of dollars have been wiped off the markets. Pension funds around the world have also taken a nose dive not just in America but in many countries, Spending is down and continues to dry up. This is catastrophic. When the politics interferes with something as important as this it is a sad day for everyone.

If I was voting in America I would vote for the FIRST BLACK AMERICAN to be president. A historic occasion and something to tell my children and their children after them. There is an air of honour and patriotism in voting for the first Black man to the highest position in the land. It has been an up hill battle for Black Americans in America and if voted in this will vindicate their struggles and hardship since the founding partners and before. There will be people who will not vote for a Black American because of race but if Barack is not voted in there will be other who will follow in his footsteps. I think it has been much, much harder for Barack Obama to gain acceptance than any other candidate because of race. So I admire his guts and tenacity for going for presidency. Good luck OBAMA

I have watched with interest the race for presidency. It occurs to me that if palin was negro and Obama was white the public response would be different to what it is now. From an outsiders point of view (That is not american) McCain seems to be a war monger and that he wouldn’t hesitate to send troups into any place whether in the worlds opinion it was right or wrong. Everything I hear from the republican side is armed service, war veterans, troups, troups and more troups. This is sickning to hear when the world is looking for peace and more diplomacy. I can see that if elected America is going to get itself into trouble with more than just a few countries. Let me say that CHINA will be bigger and be a major player strategically, economically and militarily in a few years time. USA will be second most powerful. USA flexes it’s muscles and expects everyone on the planet to sit up and take notice. That’s McCains stance. and the other hand Obama will be concilitary and listen to what people have to say around the world. AND WILL TALK. He is young, new and a breath of fresh air in American politics. He has new ideas and that is what USA needs today. What has Mccain been doing in politics for all these years. If he thought he was so good why didn’t he get off his chair run for president years ago. Obama hasn’t been sitting on his backside waiting he has moved forward very quickly. I can’t believe the hate there is towards negro people STILL and more so with a negro american presidential nominee. Look at the republican convention. I could count the number of coloured people there on one hand. The ethnic minorities around the world have struggled in a unbalanced world too long and that is why if I was in the USA and able to vote I would vote for OBAMA
