Ralph, shame on you! McCain spent 5 ½ years in the Hanoi Hilton. As far as I am concerned I would count that as 11 years in combat. He turned down early release. He may not be a good politician but he is an honorable man. I really doubt any sincere veteran would take a shit on that.

IT,S INTERESTING TO HEAR MCAIN SAY HE,S BEEN FIGHTING FOR THIS COUNTRY SINCE HE WAS 17 YEARS OLD.I AM 74 AND JOINED THE NAVYY WHEN I WAS 17,IT WAS 1951.MCAIN WENT IN THE NAVY AFTER THE KOREAN WAR ENDED.HE DID NOT SEE WAR UNTIL 1967.HIS TOTAL WAR TIME WAS 10 MISSIONS[ABOUT 20 HOURS]. HE THEN WAS SHOT DOWN AND CAPTURED AND SPENT THE REST OF THE WAR AS A POW.NOT THE BEST PLACE TO BE BUT IN ANOTHER PLACE FAR FROM THE WAR.I THINK HE SHOULD START PUTTING HIS WAR EXPERIANCE BEHIND HIM AND CONCENTRATE ON THE ISSUES.PUT OBAMA IN THE WHITE HOUSE AND FEEL SELF ASSURED THIS COUNTRY WILL NOT GO TO WAR UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY,AND NOT A ONE UPMANSHIP MOVE TO STRUT AROUND POPPING YOUR SHIRT BUTTENS AS BUSH STARTED OUT DOING.

It is not all about Taxes. What about our economy? Remember Clinton! That was the best economy our country had experienced. Since then, we have experienced perhaps the worse economy in the past 30 years. Wake up! I rather pay more taxes but live in a thriving economy than less taxes on a struggling economy. America is not a manufacturing country. If we continue to struggling economically, we will lose our value in the world. It is not entirely impossible that the dollar may someday not be worth more than the paper it is printed on. Let’s not let this happen. VOTE FOR OBAMA
