Clinton Hostages

What a mess! Someone (Leeland Eisenberg) walked into the Clinton campaign offices in New Hampshire today with a bomb strapped to their chest. Thankfully, it appears that no one was hurt in the escapade, and that the hostage taker was arrested.

News reports are saying that Hilary was not present at the offices in New Hampshire. Even if Hilary Clinton was in the office, I’m really confused as to what the point of the threat was.

Mike Huckabee

While on the road today, the radio was all abuzz about how all the media is all abuzz about Mike Huckabee. I’ve heard his name before, but I didn’t know much about him before today.

As I understand it, like Ron Paul, Huckabee hasn’t been given much attention by the media. However, since he’s a front runner in the Iowa caucus, he can’t be ignored. So who is he, and what does he stand for?

From his candidacy website, I was able to learn that Mike Huckabee is very religious, athletic, musical, and politically accomplished, but I didn’t get a clear view of his running platform. I get the idea that he is concerned with healthcare, but I was unable to learn his opinions towards fiscal policy and social issues. My guess is that his politics would be guided by his religion. While this would be seen as a great thing by some, others may find it discomforting. What do you think?

Ron Paul Raises $4 Million in One Day

I guess those Ron Paul banners are working! Ron Paul raised $4 million in one day, breaking records and surprising everyone. Way to go Ron! Impressive to say the least.

Does this change the Republican outlook? Does Ron Paul take McCains spot in the chain of command, or does he go higher up the ladder to contend with Rudy, Thompson and Mitt?

Romney and Thompson Snibbets

Just in case you weren’t scanning the news, the major circuits are reporting that Thompson had a campaign worker who was a convicted criminal, but who has since stepped down. Also, that Romney has received an important endorsement from the Moral Majority founder. I’d like to know if there was a donation involved.

More Ron Paul Banners

Yesterday I drove from Boston Massachusetts to New York, and on my way, when approaching Providence, Rhode Island, I spotted another Ron Paul banner. I really got a kick out of the one on the southbound side because it said to Google Ron Paul banners!

There was another one on the same bridge on the northbound side.

I was able to take a picture of one further up on 93 awhile back:
